COURSES

1. CANCELLATION BY THE DELEGATE

1.1  Course payments can be made by cheque or debit/credit card. Cheques must be received at least 14 days prior to the commencement of course, to allow for clearing.  Debit/credit payments may be made online or by telephoning the SAPERE office, and must be received at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the course. Admittance to the course may be refused if payment has not been received by the time the course commences.

1.2  The Delegate may cancel the course booking at any time.  All cancellations must be confirmed in writing including by email.  The date on which written notification of the cancellation is received into the SAPERE office is the date on which the booking will be cancelled.    The following cancellation charges will be made:

       For cancellation:                                               Amount to pay:    

       30 days or more before the course                        0% (Full refund)

       23-29 days before the course                               25% of the course fee

       15-22 days before the course                               50% of course fee

       14 days or less before the course                          100% (No refund)

1.3  Delegate substitutions can be made at any time, up to and including the date of the course. There will be a £20 administration charge for this service.

1.4  If a delegate books on one course, and at a later date wishes to transfer to a different course, this will be catered for wherever possible, but within the terms of clause 1.2 above. An administration charge of £50 shall be charged for this service.

2.  CANCELLATION BY SAPERE

2.1 SAPERE reserves the right to cancel any course or other event.  In this event the delegate will be offered a full refund or will be transferred to another equivalent SAPERE course of their choice.  Any refund is restricted to the course fee only and SAPERE cannot be held liable for any other charges including, but not limited to, travel costs, accommodation, subsistence etc.

2.2  It is the responsibility of the delegate to take out insurance to cover any loss resulting from cancellation of the course.

3.  FORCE MAJEURE

3.1 SAPERE cannot accept liability to pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented by ‘force majeure’. In these Terms & Conditions ‘force majeure’ means any event which the supplier of the services in question could not forsee, even with due care.  Such events may include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, riots or civil commotion, hostilities, strikes or other industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, acts of God, terrorist activities, epidemics, adverse  weather conditions, government action, political unrest or other events outside SAPERE’S control.

4.  HEALTH & SAFETY

All course participants and tutors should take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others around them. The tutor must be told of any illnesses or conditions that might cause a threat to any participant’s health and safety during the course. All attendees should make themselves aware of local health and safety arrangements and emergency procedures and refrain from damaging, misusing, or interfering with anything provided for health and safety reasons.

Please take reasonable care and precautions to avoid loss, damage, or theft of property supplied by the venue or SAPERE and report any such incident to the tutor as soon as possible.

4.  MEMBERSHIP

Membership that is not renewed within 2 months of the due date will be considered to have lapsed.

5. TUTORS

All SAPERE courses are taught by SAPERE registered tutors. These tutors have undertaken SAPERE validated training and have successfully completed their written assignments and have been mentored or are in the process of being mentored to teach at the appropriate level.

6.  PRIVACY POLICY

In conformity with SAPERE’s privacy policy, we will not release the names and addresses or other information about members or course participants to third parties (with the exception of those SAPERE tutors who are directly concerned with the progress of those members or course participants or with administrative procedures relating to them) without the written permission of the people concerned. SAPERE reserves the right to contact previous course participants from time to time about courses or publications we consider might interest them.
