
This is a practical 12-hour introduction (usually over two full days), leading to a certificate of attendance. The course focuses on the theory and practice of developing communities of enquiry. It aims to provide delegates with sufficient understanding of P4C to start practicing in their own schools, colleges and clubs, etc.
The SAPERE Level 1 Course
Introduction to the course:
This course will give teachers the basic qualification in P4C - an approach to teaching and learning which has been developed over 30 years, and is now practised in 60 countries worldwide. Research has clearly established it as a very effective way of raising academic achievement, enhancing pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development, and realising creative potential with any age group, any ability, and in any subject.
