Biography
Helen is an experienced trainer who has been running regular INSET / CPD courses for teachers and initial teacher education students and managing curriculum development projects over the last 11 years in her roles as Education Co-ordinator and Education Officer at the DECs in Derby and Sheffield. Prior to this she taught across the primary age range for 9 years.
Helen is particularly interested in the role that P4C can play in developing Global Citizenship across the curriculum. As well as developing skills and attitudes essential to Global Citizenship, P4C can provide a safe yet challenging environment in which children and young people are able to discuss controversial issues that matter to them.
A qualified teacher, Helen has a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Masters degree in Education.
