Biography
Dr Sara Liptai (BA, PGCE, PhD) qualified as a secondary teacher in her native Hungary and as a primary teacher, with music specialism, in this country. She has been involved in Philosophy for Children for 12 years as a project leader, teacher trainer, researcher, conference speaker, workshop leader and author. She completed a PhD on using music in P4C. Her main areas of interest are philosophical enquiry in the arts, emotional literacy and the connections between these, as well as P4C with disadvantaged and gifted and talented children. Her paper: ‘What is the meaning of this cup and that dead shark?’ won the 2005 ICPIC essay prize
