Biography
Barry is an experienced primary and secondary school teacher, psychologist and educational consultant and trainer, with longstanding specialisation in inclusional approaches to gifted education. Barry is a published author, Consultant Editor for the journal Gifted Education International and co-editor of the forthcoming Routledge International Companion to Gifted Education. In 2003 he was awarded the ICPIC Award for Excellence in Interpreting Philosophy With Children. All Barry’s training courses emphasise intellectual risk-taking, challenge and engagement, and the capacity of all learners to think for (but not by) themselves - dispositions well-embodied in P4C.
