Biography
Alison is a freelance teacher, a SAPERE tutor and a visiting lecturer in education at the University of Brighton. She has been teaching and researching learning through collaboration using philosophical enquiry for the past 10 years. Her work is diverse, including projects for young people and children in schools, enrichment programmes, community ventures, collaborations with artists, poets, a language development specialist and a hockey coach. Alison co-directed the Learning from Better Thinking project with Dr. Sara Liptai, which was funded by the educational charity the SHINE Trust and is extending this work through projects focussing on schools with high deprivation indicators in London, Leicestershire and the South of England. She is also one of SAPERE’s tutors on the Southern region Open Futures project ASKIT funded by the Helen Hamlyn Trust.
